Day 60

Protectionism – the government’s placing of duties or quotas on imports to protect of domestic industries from global competition.

It’s 4: 59 PM on day 60 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself All-Bran Flakes for breakfast, learn about Implicit Derivatives – God why can’t they just say replace the chosen variable with dx/dy instead of going into this long drawn-out explanation  – feed myself  rice and curry  for lunch and go to physiotherapy – life is so cruel I exercised everyday for the past two weeks in the hopes that I could show my physiotherapist that I did exercise only when I got there she did exercise that were completely different to those that I had practised at home LOL 🙂

There are times in life where you hear somebody say something so obvious that you think to yourself it took you this long to figure  that out and today was one of those days for me – I heard President Barack Obama – who I respect a great deal – say on radio news that America was moving away from protectionism because it didn’t advance the global agenda and as I was listening to that I become increasingly filled with joy because I felt like he understood what many of his predecessors failed to – when your fellow man falls so do you.  Have you ever been guilty of protecting your own interests at the expense of others? 🙂

Yes, at some point and time. Maybe not in this moment, but think about it, we are human, you know… Another thought provoking question, keep on keeping on. Warmth & Joy, Leticia
