To help others truly shine or to serve a cause greater than ourselves we have to get our self and our egos out of the way– that’s what I have realized.

It’s 11 : 44 AM on day 2427 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Psalm 33: 4 and learn a new word – Laborious
Laborious [la·bo·ri·ous] adj. Hard-working; industrious. Marked by or requiring long, hard work. “It was a laborious project, but they still kept it under budget.”

Yesterday I realized that to help others truly shine or to serve a cause greater than ourselves we have to get our self and our egos out of the way oftentimes we can’t help others truly shine or serve a cause greater than ourselves because we are the centre of our own lives and a slave to our own egos.
