“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome” – Anne Broadstreet.
It’s 7: 13 PM on day 64 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself All-Bran Flakes for breakfast, write my Math notes – I had to retype everything I typed yesterday because my sister closed the document I was working on which I forgot to save – yet again LOL 🙂 – practiced picking up a spoon with my right-hand – the hardest part was picking up the spoon once I figured out how to that all I had to do was concentrate on holding on to it – which I did 🙂 – peeled a nartjie – when I did it I thought to myself I peeled a nartjie now I can take over the world LOL 🙂 – and feed myself rice and curry for lunch.
I usually don’t read the celebrity gossip but this headline caught my eye Christina Aguilera and music producer husband Jordan Bratman split and when I read that I felt a twinge of pain not because I knew Christina or Jordan personally but because I have a tremendous amount of respect for the institution of marriage and believe that the only time that divorce should even be an opinion is when the physical, mental or emotional state of one or both of the parties is at stake. Do you think that people in this day and age are too quick to head to divorce court? 🙂
