Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek – Barack Obama.

It’s 5:28 PM on day 25 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to feed myself Oats for breakfast and Whole-Grain bread and Mango Achar for lunch – I decided not to eat as much rice my dad’s side of the family has a history of Diabetes and High-Blood Pressure – practiced holding a spoon and folding a handkerchief with my right-hand     

Kevin – my ten-year-old brother – was watching me raise money for my Clean Water For All  Campaign when he asked “Why are you doing this? Isn’t this what world leaders are for?” At first I was speechless and didn’t know how to respond but then it occurred to me that I became a world leader the moment I stopped being a part of the problem and started a part of the solution. Fight for something you believe in and become the leader that you were born to be – it’s never too early or too late. Start today!!! 🙂
