Day 2576: Give Hope

Spare no expense to give people hope  – that’s my message to the world

It’s 12: 45 PM on day 2576 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 12:25 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –Anonymous  donated $100 (thanks so much Anon ) which brings the total raised to $3 781 only $8 719 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Today I was reminded that hope is as essential to survival as food and water is so even when people don’t see the point in me doing some of the things I do if I think it will give even one person something to aspire to I will continue to do them.

Day 2574: How To Be Fearless

The fear of anything is basically the fear of death or humiliation  – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12: 05 PM on day 2574 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Luke 6:35  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $3 681 only $8 819 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far) .

Recently I realized that the fear of anything is basically the fear of death or humiliation so if you want to be fearless in life let go of your underlying fear of death and humiliation.

Day 2573: Raising the Consciousness of Our Fellow Human Beings

Our job as humanity is to help increase the consciousness level of our fellow human beings– that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 1: 03 PM on day 2573 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read 1 John 4:18-19, hang out with family, help out my friends,  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $3 681 only $8 819 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far) .

Yesterday my brother came to me and asked how much does it cost to help 1 kid with clubfoot I answered R3 300 ($250),why to which he  replied I want the new Xbox  – it costs R4 400 and in that moment I realized  that he felt a twinge of guilt and I was so touched and filled with pride because even in his desire for the Xbox he thought about how the money could be better used to help others I saw that and gave him my blessing to ask our parents for the new Xbox (he earned it – he worked really hard in school this term to become 2nd in the grade out of 120 students).

Day 2569: Kindness Doesn’t Cost

Kindness doesn’t cost a cent – that’s my message to the world

It’s 12: 43 PM on day 2569 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read 2 Peter 3:9,  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $3 556 only $9 844 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far) .

Today I made a birthday video for someone and although it didn’t cost me a cent it meant the world to him so often in life we bankrupt ourselves in an effort to express love when all people really want is a piece of our heart.

Day 2568: Decide What Defines You

If you don’t want to be defined by your difference of ability then don’t define yourself by your difference of ability – that’s my message to differently-abled people.

It’s 12: 14 PM on day 2568 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read 2 Corinthians 12:9-10,  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $3 556 only $9 844 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far) .

A while ago I realized people who define themselves by their difference of ability will be defined by the world by their difference of ability I hardly ever mention the fact that I have Cerebral Palsy not because I’m ashamed of it but because in most situations it’s irrelevant (what does me fundraising for kids with clubfoot have to do with the fact that I have Cerebral Palsy?) naturally my wheelchair is visible in my videos I don’t try to hide it but I make no mention of it because Cerebral Palsy is my condition not my definition.

Day 2566: Rise Above

Bless those who curse you bless and do not curse– that’s what I learned from the Bible

It’s 1: 47 PM on day 2566 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Lamentations 3:25-26,  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $3 556 only $9 844 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far) .

Today I was reminded that I don’t have to reciprocate the bad behaviour exhibited  towards me instead I can pause and choose to rise above.

Day 2564: Cerebral Palsy – My Blessing In Disguise

Cerebral Palsy just might be my greatest advantage– that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12: 36  PM on day 2564 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read James 4:7  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – Yesterday  Anonymous donated $25 (thanks so much Anon) which brings the total raised to $3 556 only $9 8 944 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Today I was searching the internet for physical things I could do to help raise money for 50 New Feet then I had an epiphany because of my challenges wherever I decide to do its impact will be magnified (Cerebral Palsy is totally my blessing in disguise).

Day 2563: Tony Du Preez – An Everyday Hero

“Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary.” – Gerard Way

It’s 11: 55  AM on day 2563 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read  Psalm 16:11  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – Yesterday  Anonymous donated $50 (thanks so much Anon) which brings the total raised to $3 531 only $9 8 969 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

This morning our helper, Amanda, was telling me about her friend Tony – an elderly gentlemen – who  gives her a lift to and from work ALMOST EVERY DAY expecting nothing in return (apparently she’s not the only one he does that for he does it for another guy too). WOW . If you live in East London (South Africa) and need a welder call Tony Du Preez Welding Works at 072 373 4051 (good people deserve good things to happen to them )

Day 2561: Accepting my Eternal State of Imperfection

To expect perfection from oneself is an exercise in futility– that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 1: 07  PM on day 2561 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read  Ephesians 2:8  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – Yesterday Liesel and Anonymous made donations (thanks so much to them) which brings the total raised to $3 481 only $9 019 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Yesterday somebody asked me why I didn’t go to church and I lied  saying I overslept (I know it was wrong and I still feel guilty about it)  meanwhile I was up working on my 50 New Feet campaign for MiracleFeet but I didn’t want to say that because even though it was true it would have sounded like I was trying to make myself look like a saint and besides most people’s eyes just glaze over when I start talking about my work I don’t think they understand truly why I work so hard on things that I don’t get paid for.

Day 2559: Aghast Not

Nothing that’s meant for me will pass me by– that’s what I keep being reminded of.

It’s 11: 47  AM on day 2559 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read  Romans 6:23  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised to $3 452 only $9 048 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

This morning I remembered that all my aghast in life and about life is for nothing because nothing that’s meant for me will pass me by.
