Day 2125: Abundance – A State of Mind

Abundance is a state of mind – that’s what  I keep realizing.

It’s 12 : 26  PM on day 2125 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Acts 4: 19-20 ,   learn one new thing –History of Dominoes. Tile games have been found in China as early as 1120 CE. Some historical accounts have traced evidence of the existence of the pieces, way back to a soldier-hero named Hung Ming (181-234 CE). Other historians believe that Keung T’ai Kung, in the twelfth century BCE had created them.- have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – raised $6 920 only  $5 580 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂  ) .

Recently I was reminded that abundance is a state of mind people keep wishing God’s blessings upon me and I keep saying I’m already blessed and it’s like the more I say it the more blessed I become it’s crazy beautiful.

Day 2124: Not Left Behind

I’m not being left behind I’m walking my own path –that’s what I keep reminding myself.

It’s 12 : 14  PM on day 2124 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read Isaiah 6: 8 ,   learn one new thing – The concentration of salt in seawater (salinity) is about 35 parts per thousand. Stated in another way, about 3.5 percent of the weight of seawater comes from the dissolved salts; in a cubic mile of seawater, the weight of the salt (in the form of sodium chloride) would be about 120 million tons. -and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – yesterday Anonymous #1  donated $300 and Anonymous #2 donated $25 (thanks so much to both of you  🙂 ) which brings the total raised to $6 920 only  $5 580 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

Recently with all my friends and family who are my age either married or getting married I feel like a spinster I know I’m walking my own path it’s just hard sometimes although I love my life and I’m happy that the people I love are progressing in their lives there’s this tiny part of me that sometimes thinks if things were different that would have been me I guess I just have to keep reminding myself that I’m not being left behind I’m walking my own path.

Day 2123: Thankful to my Challenges

We should all be thankful to our challenges for it is those challenges that have made us who we are today  – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12 : 33  PM on day 2123 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Acts 18: 9-10,  have breakfast, learn one new thing – Sharks have eyelids, but they do not blink because the surrounding water cleans their eyes. To protect their eyes some species have nictitating membranes. This membrane covers the eyes while hunting and when the shark is being attacked. -and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – Teresa donated $50 (thanks so much Teresa appreciate your support 🙂 ) which brings the total raised to $6 595 only  $5 905 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

Today I can’t help feeling unbelievably thankful to my challenges because every one of those challenges were the making of me.

Day 2122: “The art of being yourself” by Caroline McHugh

The key to living an extraordinary life is being yourself and knowing your reason for being.– that’s what Caroline McHugh taught me.

It’s 12 : 18  PM on day 2122 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Romans 12: 9 ,  have breakfast, learn one new thing –It is a common misconception that bears hibernate during the winter. While bears tend to slow down during the winter, they are not true hibernators. Black bears, Grizzly bears and Brown bears do go into a deep sleep during the winter months, known as torpor. Hibernation is when animals “sleep” through the winter.- go visit the Sunshine Childrens Home – special thanks to Nomzamo, Lauren and everyone for being so welcoming –   and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – raised $6 545 only  $5 955 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far : ) ) .

The things we are self-conscious about are often not a big deal  – that’s what I realized recently.

It’s 12 : 15  PM on day 2121 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Galatians 5: 3 ,   learn one new thing – Each of us has 60 – 90 trillion cells so our DNA is very, very tiny when coiled up. If you could take it out of a cell and stretch it into a line, our DNA would be more than six feet long. That’s almost two meters.- have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – raised $6 545 only  $5 955 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far : ) ) .

Recently I realized that the things we are self-conscious about are often not a big deal I used to worry about the clarity of my speech all the time but as it turns out it’s not as big of a deal as I thought it was.

Yesterday my sister and I watched Blended – a funny and heartwarming movie about the hardships of blending two families (starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore) – I really liked the movie it’s perfect on days when you just want to switch off your brain and escape into another world.

Day 2119: “Say” by John Mayer

Have no fear for giving in

Have no fear for giving over

You’d better know that in the end

It’s better to say too much

Than never to say what you need to say again

Even if your hands are shaking

And your faith is broken

Even as the eyes are closing

Do it with a heart wide open (a wide heart)

– John Mayer, “Say”

It’s 12 : 30  PM on day 2119 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Ephesians 3:12,   learn one new thing –Just as the tree of life illustrates, all organisms, both living and extinct, are related. Every branch of the tree represents a species, and every fork separating one species from another represents the common ancestor shared by these species.- have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – raised $6 545 only  $5 955 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ) .

Day 2117: Write Your Own Story

“Let go of perfection. Get messy, make as many mistakes as you can, help as many people as you can. Love more, hate less and let go of guilt & regret. Reverse engineer your life. By the time you leave this planet, what did you want to experience?

There is no life ahead of you, there’s only right now, you. The experience we are having right in this moment “IS” our life. The action we take or do not take right now IS our future. Pay attention & invest yourself fully in each moment…and it’s in these fully lived moments that we weave a truly extraordinary tapestry to clothe ourselves in old age and share with the world what a difference one life can make.”

Tamara McCleary
