It’s 5: 04 PM on day 2906 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work

A few weeks ago I decided to ask everybody all over the world to plant trees in honour of my Superhero Catherine Constantinides’s birthday which happens to be today. Happy Birthday Superhero as long as I live you will never fight alone – the trees planted in your honour are symbolic of the pillar of strength you are in all our lives. I LOVE YOU to the moon and more than the stars.

Thank you to EVERYONE who planted trees in honour of my Superhero’s Birthday.

Day 2905: Joy In Unexpected Places

Sometimes it’s not the things you think will give you joy that give you joy– that’s what i’ve realized

It’s 11 : 53 AM on day 2905 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work

Recently I learned that it’s important to try different things because sometimes it’s not the things you think will give you joy that give you joy.

Day 2904: Give a Voice to your Love

Life is fragile appreciate the people you love– that’s my message to the world

It’s 2: 27 PM on day 2904 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work

This week I was reminded of the fragility of life I tend to hold all my love inside until something unexpected happens then all my love comes out like vomit I need to learn not to wait for something bad to happen before I express my feelings.

Day 2903: Change and Trust

Change is constant – that’s what I keep realizing

It’s 12 : 35 PM on day 2903 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside and do some work.

Two days ago we had to get a temporary helper while our permanent helper was on sick leave the first day I was so nervous she wouldn’t be able to help me that I literally didn’t drink any water till my parents got back from work but the second mom told me she would only be back at 4 or 5 and since I didn’t want a UTI I decided to drink water like normal and trust that the temp could help me without injuring me and to my shock she helped me and  I didn’t get injured in the process I guess I need to work on trusting people more. In case you’re wondering our permanent helper is now back (yay).

Day 2902: 6 Months Ago Yesterday

Life is a gift not a right– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 1 : 29 PM on day 2902 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work

Six months ago yesterday I was in hospital getting my contractures released and although everybody told me it’s a simple surgery that was  a changing day in my life because that morning I realized how much I wanted to live, how much I wanted to do and how much more I wanted to become the theme of that day and my life since has become I’m not done yet .

Day 2901: Graciousness

The best response to disappointment is graciousness – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 11 : 23 AM on day 2901 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work.

Recently I’ve learned that when disappointed instead of sulking it’s best to be gracious it makes people want to do better for you in the present and in the future.

Day 2900: Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn’t Enough by Kay Warren [Book Review]

“If we are going to experience joy in this lifetime, there’s only one possible way: We will have to choose it. We will have to choose it in spite of unbelievable circumstances. We will have to choose it in the middle of a situation that seems too hard to bear. We will have to choose it even if our worst nightmare comes true. This isn’t what we want to hear. We keep trying to line up all the little ducks in a row, to smooth out the rough spots, and to shore up all the wobbly places, still convinced that if we get our act together, we finish the huge project, our health clears up, we get a raise, or we can just get things right, we can finally be joyful.”

― Kay Warren, Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn’t Enough

It’s 11 : 07 PM on day 2900 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work

Recently I finished reading Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn’t Enough by Kay Warren – a book that uses the Bible as a guide and teaches us how to be joyous at all times – I loved the practical nature of the advice in the book and would recommend it to Christians who are struggling to find joy in their lives.

Thank you so much Julie for sending me this book.
