Day 2501: Be Consciously and Intentionally Kind

Being kind is a decision you’ll never regret – that’s what I want the world to know.

Yesterday I decided to consciously and intentionally be kind it was just an incredible feeling going to bed knowing I was as kind as I possibly could be. Be kind you’ll never regret it!

Day 2500: “Road Less Travelled” by Lauren Alaina

You won’t make yourself a name if you follow the rules
History gets made when you’re acting a fool
So don’t hold it back and just run it
Show what you got and just own it

No, they can’t tear you apart
If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle
Don’t be afraid, take the road less travelled
Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel
Don’t be afraid, take the road less travelled on
Oh, ooh-whoa, oh, ooh-whoa
Take the road less travelled on

Lauren Alaina, “Road Less Travelled”

Today being Mandela Day – a day during which people all over the world spend 67 minutes of their time in service of others in honour of the late Nelson Mandela’s 67 years of service – and what would have been Mr. Mandela’s 99th birthday I can’t help feeling extremely privileged to have shared this planet with this extraordinary human if only for a short while I never got to meet him but his life taught me so much about forgiveness, humility, integrity and leadership. Happy 99th Birthday Tata Madiba you have left this planet but you will never leave my heart I strive every day to be the kind of human and citizen that God, my family, you and my Superhero Catherine Constantinides would be proud of.

Day 2496: The Love Song That Broke My Heart

“They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.” ― Tom Bodett

Yesterday I heard “Heartbeat” by Chris Young honestly the song kinda made me sad because I knew that because the world is so vein the chances of someone ever feeling that way about me were slim to none. Listen to “Heartbeat” by Chris Young below:

Day 2495: The True Meaning of Patience

Patience is waiting expectantly with a good attitude – that’s what I have learned.

Yesterday I learned that patience is not just waiting but rather patience is waiting expectantly with a good attitude.

Day 2494: Say Hello It May Just Change Your Life

A simple hello can lead to a thousand wonderful things– that’s what I realized recently.

It’s 12 : 10 PM on day 2494 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Matthew 7: 13-14 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised to $1 750 only $10 750 more to raise  by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Two days ago I was sitting outside and I decided to formally introduce myself to our gardener and ask him why he was still working at his age I’m so glad I did because I found out his name is Dickson and that he works through his pain to support his 5 grandchildren who his children have basically abandoned my heart went out this hardworking man with the hugest of hearts whose life has reminded me that everybody has a story and that the world’s most extraordinary people roam the Earth disguised as ordinary men and women.

Day 2493: Problems, Solutions and Me

There is a solution to every problem– that’s what I realized yesterday.

It’s 1 : 01 PM on day 2493 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Mark 12:30, have breakfast, spend time with my parents, hang out outside – it’s such a beautiful day 🙂 –   and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised to $1 750 only $10 750 more to raise  by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Yesterday I needed to get something done but I knew I couldn’t do it like I usually do so I thought out of the box and did something I’ve never done before if you’re creative and flexible you can find a solution to almost any problem and if there is no solution you see the problem from a completely different point of view.

Day 2492: The Job of a Leader Is…

The job of a leader is to set a plan with a purpose in motion then continuously thank the people who are helping to make the plan work– that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12 : 15 PM on day 2492 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Hebrews 12: 2 have breakfast,     and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised to $1 750 only $10 750 more to raise  by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

This morning I was reminded that the job of a leader is to set a plan with a purpose in motion then continuously thank the people who are helping to make the plan work which is a good thing to be reminded of because often we think a fancy title and a large salary automatically makes one a leader (it doesn’t –leadership is propose-driven action not a title or money).
