My journey from utter helplessness to independence

Day 2612: Dagger through the Heart a Billion Times

However you feel it’s ok – that’s the lesson that keeps coming back to me.

It’s 10 : 48 AM on day 2612 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read 2 Thessalonians 3:16 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 488 only $8 012 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

This morning as I looked at a picture of a family with a new born baby be happy for them I commanded myself and I genuinely was but even as I type this my right hand is on what will probably never be my womb I feel so empty and it hurts so bad few people in this life will ever know what it’s like to be stared in the face every day by that which you may never have it’s a dagger through the heart being twisted a billion times, taken out and being put back in only you have a smile on your face because you are genuinely happy for the new family and wish them nothing but the very best in life.

Day 2611: Take Chances

The more chances you take the luckier you will get – that’s what I know.

It’s 1 : 33   PM on day 2611 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read 1 Peter 5:6-8 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 488 only $8 012 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Today I did something the results of which reminded me that the more chances I take the luckier I will get (sometimes you’ve got to put yourself out there and be willing to flop so that you can maybe fly).

Day 2610: Beauty and Pain

Do the little things that make you happy it really makes a big difference– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 30  PM on day 2610 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read  Psalm 85:8, and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to the Jindalee Foundation who donated $100 yesterday which brings the total raised to  $4 488 only $8 012 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot.

Today in the middle of doing everything I just stopped to stare at our Jacaranda tree full of purple flowers and in that moment I was reminded that though there is immense pain in this world there is also immense beauty. If you look around and can’t find the beauty in life then be the beauty in life by showing up and being kinder than necessary.

Day 2609: Speak With Your Actions

Speak with your actions – that’s my message to the world

It’s 1 : 04   PM on day 2609 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read John 16:33 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 388 only $8 112 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Recently things happened that reminded me that words not followed by actions are awfully hollow which is not to say I don’t appreciate the kind words I just would appreciate the words even more if they were followed by solid actions. Speak to me with your actions so that I may hear you with my heart.

Day 2608: Why I No Longer Lie

If you’re proud of who you are in the present you won’t feel the need to lie about what you did or didn’t do in the past – that’s what I know.

It’s 1 : 18   PM on day 2608 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read Romans 15:13 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 388 only $8 112 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Recently I was asked a question in an interview and my usual answer to that question was an automatic lie but this time I intentionally chose to tell the truth because I  was genuinely proud of who I was and knew that everything I chose to do and not do made me the person I am today

Day 2603: Lessons in Kindness Taught To Me by My Superhero Catherine Constantinides

It doesn’t cost much at all to be kind– that’s what my Superhero Catherine Constantinides continues to teach me.

It’s 12:  36 PM on day 2603 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read 1 Peter 3:14 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 388 only $8 112 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Yesterday my Superhero Catherine Constantinides called me from the airport on her way to the USA to speak at the Obama Foundation‘s Obama Summit just to say I carry you in my heart whatever I go I was just blown away and so touched I’m usually not the mushy sort but anyone would have to be made of stone not to be moved by that (it’s not just what she said and did that touched me so deeply but the context in which it was done I mean there she was ready to board a plane to go and be amongst the best minds and hearts in the world and she chose to call me to say I carry you in my heart whatever I go…simply extraordinary actually). Thank you Superhero for showing me what kindness looks like and sounds like and for teaching me that it is always necessary to be kinder than necessary (I love you more than Peanut Butter and French Toast).
