My journey from utter helplessness to independence

Day 2632: #GivingTuesday

“Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others.” — Booker T. Washington

It’s 1: 28 PM on day 2632 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read  1 Chronicles 16:34  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 751 only $7 749  more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Today is #GivingTuesday – a global day to give back – and in honour of that I’m asking everybody to donate to my #50NewFeet campaign benefiting MiracleFeet to help MiracleFeet and I treat clubfoot and transform lives https://www.crowdrise.com/50newfeet   (if 31 donated $250 each the goal of providing 50 kids with clubfoot treatment would be reached today) .

Day 2631: Don’t Force Anything

What works on paper may not work so well in real-life don’t force it – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 1 : 59  PM on day 2631 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read Psalm 100: 4, and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to  Asafika   who donated $70  two days ago which brings the total raised to  $4 751 only $7 749 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot.

Recently I realized that what works on paper may not work so well in real-life and that’s okay I have tried and tried to befriend girls my age but it never works I’m drawn instead to people who refuse to fit into the boxes that society tries to put them in.

Day 2630: A New Edition

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

– John 13:34-35

It’s 4 : 14 PM on day 2630 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read Isaiah 12:4 and spent time with family – this weekend is reserved for family work and the world can wait.

Yesterday in a beautiful ceremony we welcomed into the family Mrs. Shwetha Varghese, my cousin’s wife, I’m just so very happy I have a new person to love and to be loved by I have a feeling  my new sister and I are going to get along famously.

Day 2629: Cousin of the Groom

Family is everything  – that’s what I know

It’s 10 :00 AM on day 2629  and I’m at my cousin’s wedding [this post is scheduled because nothing matters more to me than my family]

I’m at my cousin’s wedding I’m not a humanitarian or an ability activist I’m just one of many cousins wishing my cousin and his wife happiness, health and prosperity.

Day 2628: Life is Change

Life is a constant state of change  – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12 : 45 PM on day 2628 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read 1 Timothy 4:4-5  1 Timothy 4:4-5, promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 681 only $7 819  more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far) and have breakfast with family.

Recently with some great changes happening in my family I have realized Life is a constant state of change.

Day 2627: DO NOT Quit

Decide not to quit  – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 10 : 53 AM on day 2627 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read  Ephesians 1:15-16  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 681 only $7 819  more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Today I realized as long as I don’t quit, no matter the result, I will consider myself a success. Quitting is not an option, quitting is NEVER EVER EVER an option…someone will literally have to kill me to get me to quit on anything.

Day 2626: Admit It

It’s ok to admit that you’re hurt   – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12 : 41 PM on day 2626 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read  2 Corinthians 4:15-16 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 681 only $7 819  more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Today I realized that it’s ok to admit (if only to myself) that I’m genuinely hurt  after all when all is said and done I’m just a 26-year-old girl who often wonders if anybody cares that I exist.

Day 2625: Contrast

Contrast reveals beauty   – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 1 : 08  PM on day 2625 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read Psalm 95:2-3, and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to  Stan Faryna, author of Francesco Augustine Bernadone   who donated $50  yesterday  which brings the total raised to  $4 681 only $7 819 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot.

Recently  I looked out my window and saw what God intended the world to be, a world with just enough ugliness to make us appreciate true beauty, a world with hate to make us appreciate true love and a world with sadness to make us appreciate happiness. Contrast really does reveal beauty without all the “bad” things we wouldn’t appreciate the good things as much.

Day 2624: Spectators

Only a few care the rest are just there   – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 11 : 20  AM on day 2624 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read Jonah 2: 9, and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to  Anonymous   who donated $25  which brings the total raised to  $4 631 only $7 869 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot.

In recent years I’ve realized that only a few care the rest are just there and for the life of me I don’t know what to do about it if I kick them out they’ll think I’m arrogant and if I leave them in they’ll continue to be nothing but spectators in my life I cannot tell you how many times I’ve met people who’ve said we see all your work on Facebook and I know they only mean to acknowledge me in some way which I appreciate but my first thought in response to that statement is always and what have you done to help of course I never say it but spectatorism is pointless and to be honest it can be quite creepy.

Day 2623: Have A Big Purpose

When you have a big purpose you can override obstacles internal and external   – that’s what I know

It’s 11 : 28 AM on day 2623 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read  1 Thessalonians 5:18 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 606 only $7 894  more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Yesterday I was reminded that when you have a big purpose you can override obstacles internal and external (I have a lot of pride but when I have a big enough purpose I override my fear, my pride and anything else that stands in my way).
