Today the Miss Earth SA Leadership Programme and their partners handed over a newly- rejuvenated veggie garden to Gogos (grandmothers) living in Kliptown, Soweto and added “We don’t want to just add to your self-subsistence, we want to add to your sustainability. We don’t want to just add to your today, we want to add to your tomorrow. This garden is for you to grow, nurture and make a success of. On behalf of the Miss Earth South Africa Leadership Programme and Together with Skin Renewal, Lifestyle Home Garden, Brand South Africa, Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment, Plastics SA, AST Recycling and Interwaste Environmental Solutions we hand over to you in the form of a vegetable garden, in the form of a great opportunity; the possibility for you and your community of Gogos to prosper and enjoy.”
