Day 1769: To Serve and Mandela Day 2015

It doesn’t matter how or when you serve as long as you do serve – that’s what I keep realizing.

 

It’s 12 :  00 PM on day 1769  of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  pray, read Matthew 1,    publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing – -According to Anthony Sampson, Mandela’s official biographer, by the end of his administration, “Three million people were connected to telephone lines and safe drinking water, 1.5 million children were brought into the education system, 500 clinics were upgraded or built, two million people were connected to the electricity grid and 750,000 houses were built providing shelter for nearly three million people.” -and  promote my Educate Generations campaign – $3 372 raised so far.

 

Today is Mandela Day but sisi Cynthia and I made sandwiches for the kids in her neighbourhood yesterday since she doesn’t work on weekends. Watch the video below (Note: The fact that sisi Cynthia is out of the frame in this video was not intentional on my part it just happened like that):
