Day 2908: Promises and Me

Some of the most important promises you’ll ever keep are the ones you make to yourself – that’s what I’ve realized

It’s 2 : 18 PM on day 2908 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside and do some work

A few months ago on the morning of my surgery I promised myself that if I woke  up one more day I wouldn’t waste a single sunny day spending all day indoors and so today, like many other days since, I spent hours watching birds fly and listening to them sing it was truly magical (may I always make time to enjoy the little-big things))

Day 2867: It all counts

Sometimes the good you do will only make people feel good in the moment and sometimes that’s enough  – that’s what I’ve realized

It’s 1 : 31 PM on day 2867 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work

Yesterday straying from my usual modus operandi of doing things that make a sustainable impact I decided to do something that would add some joy temporarily and I don’t regret because it has dawned on me that it all counts… whether the things we do add light, love and hope for generations to come or just for a few minutes it all counts.

Day 2601: Let go of Little Things

Don’t hold on to the little things that don’t matter instead learn, forgive and let go of it– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 10:  17 AM on day 2601 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read Matthew 10:28 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 388 only $8 112 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far)

Yesterday something happened that had the potential to make me really angry but instead of getting angry I chose to learn, forgive and let go of it (if you give certain situations more significance than actually have you’ll be miserable forevermore).

Day 2538: The Little Things Add Up

The little things we choose to do and not do make a big difference– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 11 : 49 AM on day 2538 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Isaiah 6: 3, have breakfast  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised to $3 205 only $9 295 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Today I reminded that the little things we choose to do and not do make a big difference so smile, be kind, unplug when you’re done using appliances, turn off lights when leaving the room…all those little things add up.

Day 2228: The Little Things

It’s the little things we do and that are done for us that mean the most – that’s what I was reminded of yesterday.

It’s 9 :  45 AM on day 2228 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, pray, read Psalm 112:1,  learn one new thing – Definitions for paroxysm 1)
any sudden, violent outburst; a fit of violent action or emotion: paroxysms of rage.
2) Pathology. a severe attack or a sudden increase in intensity of a disease, usually recurring periodically.– and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –raised $8 011.04 only  $4 488.96 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).

Yesterday I was reminded that it’s the little things we do and that are done for us that mean the most. Let’s do the kind little things for each other.

Day 1246: Kayden + Rain = Super adorable video

He is richest who is content with the least, for content is the wealth of nature. – Socrates

It’s 1  : 09 PM on day 1246 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  pray,  brush my teeth, read Nehemiah 3, feed myself egg with  bread for breakfast,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles,  stretch my hamstrings  and  promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – nobody donated so far today either I just don’t understand how people can be okay with other people dying of a disease that is both preventable and treatable where is the human in humanity.

Yesterday I watched a video of a little girl experiencing the rain for the first time it was too adorable for words watching that made me feel like I too should appreciate the little things more. Watch “Kayden + Rain | Little Girl Experiences Her First Rainfall” below it’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face and make you appreciate the little things.
