Day 2500: “Road Less Travelled” by Lauren Alaina

You won’t make yourself a name if you follow the rules
History gets made when you’re acting a fool
So don’t hold it back and just run it
Show what you got and just own it

No, they can’t tear you apart
If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle
Don’t be afraid, take the road less travelled
Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel
Don’t be afraid, take the road less travelled on
Oh, ooh-whoa, oh, ooh-whoa
Take the road less travelled on

Lauren Alaina, “Road Less Travelled”

It’s 12 : 33 PM on day 2500 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Philippians 4:13, have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –   Maya Anne Ninan and Keith made donations of $250 and $100 respectively  (thanks so much to them) which brings the total raised to $2 125 only $10 375 more to raise  by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot

Day 1336: “Like My Mother Does” on this Mother’s Day

People always say I have a laugh

Like my mother does

Guess that makes sense

She taught me how to smile

When things get rough

I’ve got her spirit, she’s always got my back

When I look at her I think

I want to be just like that

When I love I give it all I’ve got

Like my mother does

When I’m scared, I bow my head and pray

Like my mother does

When I feel weak and unpretty

I know I’m beautiful and strong

Because I see myself

Like my mother does

I’ve never met a stranger, I can talk to anyone

Like my mother does

I let my temper fly, but she can walk away

When she’s had enough

She sees everybody

For who they really are

I’m so thankful for her guidance

She’s helped me get this far

It’s 12  : 56 PM on day 1336 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth, pray,  read Psalm 23,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, publish my  Kid of the Week feature, feed myself  a peanut butter sandwich  for breakfast, go to church, set up an email address and a Skype account as a Mother’s Day gift to my mom (happy Mother’s Day mom thank you for everything you’ve done for me and continue to do for me) –   and promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – still on $802.85.

Today being Mother’s Day I thought I’d share with you a song I think was written for and about mothers everywhere. Listen to “Like My Mother Does” by Lauren Alaina below:
