Day 2455: What I Value Above All Else

“There is no higher value in our society than integrity.” – Arlen Specter

It’s 10 : 54 AM on day 2455 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast,  read 2 Corinthians 4:17 and learn a new word – Precipitous adj. Done rashly: acting too quickly and without sufficient thought. “Excessive spending caused the precipitous demise of the company.”

Yesterday I realized that my integrity is something I value almost above all else it’s really important to me that people know for a fact that I will do the right thing by them even if they will never know if I did or not.

Day 2403: Integrity in Action

Integrity is doing the right thing when nobody’s watching – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 4 : 07  PM on day 2403 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read 1 Peter 1:3, visit my dentist, visit family and have lunch.

Today somebody had a chance to keep something that wasn’t theirs but instead they called someone in an effort to return it and in that moment I was reminded of my favourite definition of integrity which reads integrity is doing the right thing when nobody’s watching .

Day 1487: Integrity and Me

Value your integrity above all else – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 1 : 27 PM on day 1487 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Proverbs 25, publish my Disability of the Day feature, stretch my hamstrings, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, feed myself All Bran Flakes with banana  for breakfast  and promote my Educate Generations campaign –  Madalina Cristea made a donation of $20 today (thank you Madalina your support means a lot to me) which brings my total raised to $258 only $2242 more to raise :)

Today I realized my integrity means more to me than anything else I don’t mind not being rich or famous but it would kill me not to keep my word to someone because I truly believe that if people can’t take you at your word you have nothing. Do you value integrity above all else or is it the last thing on your priority list?
