Day 2912: The Line Between Good and Evil

“The line between good and evil lies in the heart of every human being.” -Ian Howarth

It’s 2 : 07 PM on day 2912 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work

Today at church we were taught to examine our own hearts instead of always judging other people’s sins and I thought it was  perfect sermon for today’s time because all of us are so quick to point out the speck in other people’s eyes while ignoring the planks in our own. The line between good and evil lies in the heart of every human being – so true!

Day 2773: Why I Believe both Well-Intentioned and Evil-Intentioned People Are Both Responsible for the Current State of the World

If it’s good do it and if it’s bad don’t do it– that’s I believe is one of the most important lessons the Bible tries to teach us.

It’s 9: 31 AM on day 2773 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 11  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –  raised  $14 409 only $4 341 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

Recently it occurred to me that most people with good intention are too busy thinking about things and praying about things (I have nothing against praying I pray A LOT but I don’t pray about whether I should do a good thing or not because I know if it’s good God wants me to do it) and not actually doing anything while the people with evil intentions are doing a lot and causing suffering in the process I wish well-intentioned people would have the courage to do more and evil-intentioned people the empathy to do less.

Day 2475: Humanity Is Good

Humanity is more good than bad– that’s what I want the world to know

It’s 10 : 17 AM on day 2475 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read James 1: 20, have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – yesterday Sharon D Agostino  (Founder of  SayItForward) donated $500 and Simon Magid donated $25 (thanks  Sharon and Simon) which brings the total raised to $1 335 only $11 165 more to raise in 358 days to help 50 kids with clubfoot (won’t be easy but again i say very doable with God in me) .

Today I realized that being in the philanthropy space gives me a front row set to the best of humanity admittedly all of us are a bit of a mess of contradictions but I’m telling on this planet at this time walks some of the kindest, gentlest and most generous people ever I’ve been privileged enough to see it, feel it and often be on the receiving end of it.

Day 2193: Life, The Good and The Bad

Life is an experience we’ve got to take the good with the bad– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 9 : 20 AM on day 2193 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, pray, read 1 John 5:13-14 and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – yesterday Debbie donated $25 (thanks SO MUCH Debbie) which brings the total  raised to $7 675 only  $4 825 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).

Today I was thinking about life and how to say we have truly lived we must take the good with the bad I know some people want happiness without sadness, joy without sorrow, laughter without tears but that’s not life – the beautiful of life is that nothing is constant and as life changes so do we.

Day 1204: Taking the good with the bad

You can’t have the good without the bad – that’s what I realized today.

It’s  1 : 15 PM on day 1204 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself egg curry with bread for breakfast,   read 2 Chronicles 7, pray, publish my Disability of the Day feature  and hang out with my family.

This morning I woke up feeling the distinct lack of independence that comes with having Cerebral Palsy in that moment I realized I couldn’t have all the good things that come with having Cerebral Palsy without having to deal with the bad. Do you want the good without the bad?

Day 1138: Good, bad or both?

Nothing is as black and white as we make it out to be–that’s what I realized today.

It’s 12 : 35 PM on day 1138 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read 1 Kings 18,   publish my Disability of the Day feature,      feed myself boiled egg and Bran Flakes for breakfast, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles,  stretch my hamstrings and take off my dirty t-shirt and put on a clean to and hoodie.

Today I realized nothing is as black and white as we make it out to be none of us are all good or all bad it’s just that the so-called good people express their goodness more than the so-called  bad people do I hope I always express my good rather than my evil. Are you too quick to label situations and people as good or bad?
