Day 834

It’s the small things we do that matter most– that’s what I keep learning 🙂

It’s  8 : 15 PM on day 834 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, read the Birth of Jesus, listen to Christmas songs,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, brush my teeth,   feed myself pancakes with a coconut and sugar filling  for breakfast, hang out with my family – Christmas is the one day in the whole year that we get life right the emphasis is on family and giving as opposed to money and power I had a great time with my family and friends who were lots of fun and a little bit crazy as usual 🙂 – brush my teeth once more and donate to the 50/50 Project.

A couple of weeks ago I started my Chain of Good competition –  the idea behind Chain of Good was to get as many people as possible to do good deeds and tweet  or Facebook me pictures leading up to 25 December the winner of this competition would win $20 for his/her favorite charity – lots of entries were sent all of which were great but since this is a competition and there can only be one winner I choose the second of three entries Catherine (@catvoncat) sent to me on November 14th @Nisha360 Asked to speak to grocery store manager so that I could tell her what a great job my checker and bagger did. #chainofgood I chose this entry (and donated to Catherine’s favourite charity, the 50/50 Project) because I believe it’s the small things we do that matter most.

Merry Christmas everyone 🙂
