Day 2770: Use ALL of who you are

Nobody is me and that is my power – that’s what I was reminded of today.

It’s 1: 24 PM on day 2770 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 8,  have breakfast  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to everyone who made donations in honour of my niece Maya’s first birthday $625 was added to the total (since the writing of yesterday’s post which brings the total raised to  $14 309 only $4 441 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

Today I sort of lost the plot and started focusing on everybody else until life not-so-subtly reminded me that nobody is me and that is my power (others have things that I don’t have but I also have things that they don’t have) I’m going to focus and use all of who I am to make my mark on the world.

Day 1974: Don’t fight yourself just be

Don’t fight who you are just be – that’s what I keep telling myself.

It’s 12 : 36 PM on day 1974 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read 2 Thessalonians 2,  learn one new thing – There are no pain receptors in the brain itself. But he meninges (coverings around the brain), periosteum (coverings on the bones), and the scalp all have pain receptors. Surgery can be done on the brain and technically the brain does not feel that pain. With that said, the brain is the tool we use to detect pain.–have breakfast and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign – raised $2 082 so far only $4 168 more to raise by 10 Jan 2017  (SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far :) ).

Today I realized I constantly have to resist the urge to fight all the things about me that I think are weird because though peculiar they may be those things are part of what make me who I am.

Day 1646: Be Yourself Fearlessly

Don’t stop being yourself because you’re afraid people will take advantage of you – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 :  03 PM on day 1646 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, exercise,  pray,  read Ezekiel 6, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing – The hole in your shirt that you put your arm through is called an “armsaye.”– promote my  Educate Generations campaign– $2 435 raised so far SO GRATEFUL– feed myself egg with bread for breakfast and continue promoting the campaign – only $65 more to raise to reach goal.

Today I was thinking about my tendency to assume the best about people and my need to do the right thing which people have told me will make me an easy target for those who want to take advantage of me and I’m sure they’re right but I won’t stop giving and assuming the best about people because I’m afraid people will take advantage of me God will deal with anyone who even thinks about taking advantage of me.

Day 1416: The Pressure to Change

You can’t nor should you want to change who you are – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12  : 42  PM on day 1416 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  pray, read Psalm 103,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings,  feed myself oats with banana for breakfast and watch WOW 2014 | Malala Yousafzai – I love listening to Malala speak this girl actually has opinions and observations to share with the world unlike some people her age.

Recently people have been teasing me about my humanitarian ways but it is what it is and I am who I am I will try to change what I cannot accept as long as I am able. Have you ever felt the pressure to change yourself to be like everybody else?
