Day 3120: Speak Loudly Your Heart

Don’t wait till you almost lose people to tell them you appreciate them– that’s what I keep being reminded of.

It’s 2: 42 PM on day 3120 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside and work on my 28 For 28 Campaign benefiting charity:water –we’ve  raised $1280 of $28 000 with 88 days to go

Recent events have reminded me that life is too fragile not to speak the good and loving emotions stored your heart. Speak loudly your heart.

Happy Birthday to ME!

“A Birthday is a new beginning –
A birthday is the first day of another lovely year,
A year of new tomorrows that is shining, bright and clear,
A year of possibilities as endless as the sky, and a chance to meet the challenges in everything you try.”

On this day 28 Years Ago I came to life. Life, for me, has always been somewhat of an experiment half the time I don’t know what I’m doing but through it all I carry with me kindness, courage and faith. Happy Birthday to me. SO GRATEFUL FOR LIFE!

In the darkest of times remember there are more good people than bad – that’s my message to the world

It’s 2: 00 PM on day 3101 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  and do some work

Today I woke up to the news of the mosque shootings in New Zealand What kind of human beings enter a places of worship and shoots people…who raises these people? SO SO SAD. I cannot walk and some who can use their abilities to hurt people it hurts my heart. My condolences to all those personally affected by this tragedy. I continue to live in the knowledge that although it doesn’t seem so there are more good people than bad in the world

Day 3097: Human Connection

Value people over things and places and tell them you do – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 3: 47 PM on day 3097 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  and do some work

The older I get the more I realize life is not about things or places it’s about human connection and meaningful interaction.

Day 3057: Bye-Bye Baby Brother

“No one gets to avoid change. It’s like death and taxes. So embrace it, master it Otherwise, it will master you!” – Gisèle WertheimAymés

It’s 1 : 38 PM on day 3057 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, drop my brother at the airport, spend time outside and do some work

Today marked the beginning of a new chapter in all our lives my baby brother left for university I was determined not cry at the airport and I almost did it until he was through the boarding gate and out of sight than out of nowhere a river of tears I blame my mother who kept wiping my eyes even before I started crying and my sister who kept staring at me waiting for me to cry oh well it’s not the end of the world all of us cry at times I suppose I just hate crying in front of people

Day 3055: Social Sharing Does Not A Humanitarian Make

Just sharing things on social media does not a humanitarian make– that’s my message to the world

It’s 2: 30 PM on day 3055 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside and do some work

This morning I was reminded that just talking about leadership and sharing on social media does not a leader make oftentimes leadership and humanitarianism requires you to spend money and time I have no patience for people who think I shared something on social media I did my part the effective use of social media is part of great leadership not all of it.

Day 3042: Today I Saw Mandela’s Vision of a Non-Racial South Africa Come to Life

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” – Nelson Mandela

It’s 6: 35 PM on day 3042 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, do some work and spend time with family

Today as I sat in the middle of a clothing store watching people of all races going about their business I felt so proud of how South Africa had come knowing that just 3 decades ago South Africa was divided by race. South Africa has many a challenge still to face but none greater than those we’ve already overcome – Mandela’s vision of  non-racial South Africa is a lot closer to reality than it once was.
