Day 2583: World Mental Health Day

“Let’s perhaps try to be more conscious of the fact that the people in our very space daily could be suffering from a form of depression.” – Catherine Constantinides

It’s 12: 35  PM on day 2583 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read  1 Peter 4: 10 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to Vijay Mammen who donated $25 which brings the total raised to  $4 037 only $8 463 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot.

Today is World Mental Health Day and on this day I stand with those among us who fight battles every day that nobody knows about – mental illness is just as real as physical illness just because we can’t see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exists. Be kind. Care more.

Thank you Catherine and Nisha for what you wrote for World Mental Health Day.

And Vijay for donating to the 50 New Feet Campaign.

“Just because we can’t see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist”.

And sometimes mental ill-health is very visible indeed – through homelessness or through scars. Sometimes we have to work harder to read the signs, to follow through interpretations and services to our fellows.

    “Be kind. Care more”.

Caring is potentially infinite and so is kindness. Let’s live more like that than how we currently live where they are treated as finite and competitive.
