Day 1259: A Lesson in Patience by Cerebral Palsy

Having Cerebral Palsy teaches you patience – that’s what I realized today.

It’s 12  : 15 PM on day 1259 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth, pray,   read Esther 2, publish my Disability of the Day feature, publish my Kid of the Week feature,   feed myself All Bran Flakes for breakfast, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – nobody donated so far today either – and watch the South Africa vs. Australia Cricket test match.

This morning I realized having Cerebral Palsy teaches you patience because I can’t do some things without help I’ve had to learn to wait for people to come and help me sure it’s frustrating sometimes I think if I could do this myself I would be done by now but it’s a small price to pay to learn patience. Have you learned unexpected lessons from your greatest challenges?
