If all of us who have much used our considerable resources to empower those who have little poverty would be a thing of the past – that’s what I realized yesterday.

It’s 1  : 00 PM on day 1169 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  pray,  brush my teeth  read 1 Chronicles 2,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, feed myself  All Bran Flakes and boiled egg for breakfast,  listen to music,continue reading Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking  by Malcolm Gladwell and hang out with my sister.

Yesterday I was watching one of those stupid wedding dress shows to keep my sister company and I was shocked to find out some people spend upwards of $10 000 (R100 000+) on a wedding dress if all of us who have much used our considerable resources to empower those who have little poverty would be a thing of the past it makes me sad that some people spend $10 000 on a wedding dress while others go to bed hungry.
