Day 1089: Empathy and Cerebral Palsy

Empathy– that’s what Cerebral Palsy has taught me  🙂

It’s 12  : 00 PM on day 1089 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray,  brush my teeth, read 1 Samuel 23, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself  boiled egg and Bran Flakes for breakfast, take off my dirty jacket and t-shirt  and put on a clean t-shirt,  stretch my hamstrings, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and  tweet and Facebook about my campaign -nobody donated so far today.

This morning I realized Cerebral Palsy has taught me empathy when people are annoyed or short with me I think they must be really stressed out I try to put myself in other people’s shoes because they often don’t put themselves in my shoes. Do you have a lot more empathy for others because of the stuff you go through?
