Day 745

Don’t be reactive be proactive – that’s what I keep learning 🙂

It’s  3 : 28 PM on day 745 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself  a peanut butter sandwich for lunch, prepare and  publish my Disability of the Day feature, work,     practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, watch TV, feed myself rice and curry for lunch and practice typing with both hands.

As you may have noticed I am somewhat paranoid about the state of my health (can’t really blame me I’ve had pneumonia and back surgery) but from today onwards I’m going to fill up on whole-grains and alkaline fruits and vegetables (people with Cerebral Palsy are prone to acid reflux and constipation because CP also affects the muscles of the digestive system so it would not be a good idea for me to consume caffeinated foods or drinks, acidic foods or fruit juices, spicy foods and junk foods), exercise regularly and leave the worrying to God. Are you reactive or proactive in your life?
